Gray tree frogs (including Cope’s gray tree frogs)

Care sheet at amphibiancare.com

Cope’s gray tree frogs have mellow, charming, and funny personalities. They are much, much calmer and more approachable than green tree frogs, for example.

My adult frog Evan loves to hang out with me – maybe because I’m warm – and looks at me pointedly when he wants something. I have spent time socializing him, and he seems happy.

Life span: 6-9 years

Size: 1-1/2 to 2 inches, females generally larger than males

Song: Sometimes startlingly loud for a 1.5-inch creature, but infrequent and really funny sometimes. Highly variable timing. Delightful, really, since they don’t do it too much.

Appearance: They do change color. Very light almost white to very dark almost black. Froglets are sometimes green.
