Health History

I raised these guys from the time they were just incredibly tiny eggs. I wanted to be very careful with their health, so I sent samples to a lab for screening. They were negative for all three tests: chytridiomycosis, Ranavirus, and Perkinsea.

I’ve also had them checked twice for internal parasites, just to be sure they’re healthy. None were found (such a relief). There was one mite, but I was told that’s normal since they live in bioactive vivarium.

Arthur, the tiniest frog, had a pretty awful-looking leg injury. He had a habit of hanging near the front of his home waiting for food, and his leg got caught in the door. I ended up taking him to see a vet. I was sure it was pointless, but he got some skin medication and is now totally better.
